Nancy Mallis, OTR/L, has been practicing occupational therapy for ten years,
specializing in pediatrics, including clinical practice, school systems,
and early intervention. She is a graduate of Elizabethtown College’s
occupational therapy program. Her professional career includes
experience evaluating and treating children with varied diagnoses which
include the autism spectrum, traumatic brain injury, learning
disabilities, mental retardation, neurological disorders, cerebral
palsy, developmental delay, and attention deficit disorder.
She has a
certificate in Sensory Integration from USC/WPS and certificates or
advanced training in The Interactive Metronome®, The Listening Program®,
the REI Therapy Program™ and Therapeutic Listening. She is also a certified Tomatis method
provider. She has expertise in oral motor skills and feeding, sensory
processing/self-regulation, social skills, auditory-based interventions,
and assistive technology. She has trained and educated professionals,
students, and parents on issues related to sensory processing, child
development, oral motor skills, fine motor development and handwriting,
and school-based practice and occupational therapy. |
