FRIENDSHIP GROUPS

    TherAbilities’ Friendship Groups are a therapeutic environment fostering social relationships and self-regulation skills for children and youth. 

     Groups are designed to enhance the social awareness and interpersonal skills of children with developmental challenges. Group schedule includes developmentally appropriate cooperative and recreational activities, facilitated discussions, and snack.  Group sessions are seasonal and meet 8 times per session. 

     Parents are invited to attend optional meetings that further explain our curriculum and help with carryover at home/community.

Intake: First-time applicants must schedule an intake appointment to determine group readiness.  Intake fee is $75.

Cost: $325 fee for each Friendship Group session.  Payment is due on or before the first group meeting.

Cancellation Policy: Please give at least one week’s notice of cancellation.  TherAbilities also reserves the right to cancel a group and will notify applicants as early as possible if this should be necessary.

Registration Policy: In order to hold your child’s place in group, we ask that you promptly return the registration form. Applicants are registered in the order received. Since group size is limited, you will be notified if your registration is not accepted for this session.

And Just Plain Fun!

     TherAbilities' Summer Day Camp is a fun-filled, therapeutic environment designed and supervised by our pediatric occupational and physical therapists.  Children will socialize with peers as well as work intensively on their therapy goals. Children who have previously enrolled at TherAbilities will receive first priority for this special summer program!  Due to limited enrollment, first priority will go to those children registering for all four weeks.  A preregistration interview is required for any children new to TherAbilities' programs.
